Blackbean burgers
Dinner tonight included black bean burger with roasted red pepper and sautéed asparagus with broccoli and garlic.

Indulge a Little
Black bean brownies are a delicious, guilt-free indulgence. They contain no sugar or flour, but they are yummy especially when topped with strawberries.
Food Prep
We try to prep at least three days of food on Sundays. My food for the week is always the same--fruit for breakfast, salad with vinegar for lunch, and veggies in the afternoon. I will also have an apple and banana throughout the day. Prepping several days on Sunday makes it easier to eat nutritarian during the busy week.
Weekend Lunches
We used to go out to eat on the weekends. Now, we usually have smoothies for lunch on the weekends. We use frozen fruit to get the icy consistency we like without adding ice.
Today's smoothie was made with:
Frozen pineapple
Frozen mango
Fresh bananas
Fresh coconut water
Almond milk
Ground flax seed
It was delicious.

Vegan Pizza
I have been bummed out because all of the food we had been eating tasted the same. The flavors were not robust, and I have been left wanting something more. I wondered....is it the lack of salt? Today, I was soooooo surprised by the absolute burst of flavors in our vegan pizza.

As always, we paired our pizza with a giant salad (the picture shows my mostly eaten salad). The salad IS the main course.

Getting Started
My family has transitioned to a nutritarian lifestyle. That means that we eat a diet of nutrient dense foods. Our diet is completely vegan and free of processed foods. We are following Dr. Fuhrman's diet from the book Eat To Live.
